VARIETY: MADAME WEB booted from October 6th, 2023 to February 16, 2024 taking the Disney MCU date that just opened up. notfabio Sep 16, 14:24

Also Sony has dated a new KARATE KID movie June 7, 2024. {nm} notfabio Sep 16, 14:26

Sony is calling it a "return to the original Karate Kid franchise" but no attachments, so presumably not the Cobra Kai team? {nm} notfabio Sep 16, 14:27

Hilary Swank! {nm} Antibody Sep 16, 15:04

DL: HSWAN was asked about Cobra Kai during Alaska Daily TCA “that question is for another time" Antibody Sep 16, 15:06

She could have said an outright no and moved on. There had to have been some casual talks. {nm} Jay_Beezy Sep 16, 16:08

If it's the script that MM got a hold of, very unlikely there's any Miyagi Universe tie-in (I think Swank is probably 1-2 seasons) {nm} notfabio Sep 16, 15:09

(Swank is probably 1-2 seasons away, the Cobra Kai guys extended their Sony TV contract to at least 2025 in 2021) {nm} notfabio Sep 16, 15:13

That's reboot, not "return of the original" {nm} Antibody Sep 16, 15:13

Given the time lapsed - Kid of Karate Kid - with Hilary Swank as the mom Tallwonder Sep 16, 19:41

*walks in, writes "Karate Kid$ on the whiteboard, leaves* {nm} raccacoonie Sep 16, 14:32

SEARCHING 2 is now called MISSING and given a typically dump date February 24, 2023. {nm} notfabio Sep 16, 14:34

KRAVEN THE HUNTER booted all the way from January to October 6, 2023 to take MADAME WEB's old date (probably FX delays) {nm} notfabio Sep 16, 14:38

65 gets like its 65th release date shift saved from certain death the week before GOTG3 now March 10, 2023 (up from April 28, 2023) {nm} notfabio Sep 16, 14:39

Sandwiched between Dungeons & Dragons & Shazam 2, but better odds than GOTG3 2nd weekend at least. {nm} notfabio Sep 16, 14:42

Garfield May 24, 2024 against IF [Ryan Reynolds vs Chris Pratt bring it] (shifted from Feb. 16, 2024 because Madame Web is taking that date) {nm} notfabio Sep 16, 14:46

Mystery Sony/Marvel film now July 12, 2024 (Maybe that's Venom 3?) {nm} notfabio Sep 16, 14:49
