Massive 85% Fri-to-Fri drop for One Piece Film Red (despite holiday and that's not including Thurs previews)

This seems to be typical for these anime releases... Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero also had a sub-2X delist mult.

Ticket to Ride made $2.2 million yesterday... could be a Veterans Day bump, but it doesn't seem to be affected by its VOD. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Nov 12, 07:42

It may be that Uni's VOD is just too expensive... $20 to rent/$25 to buy... I wouldn't pay that for a movie I haven't seen. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Nov 12, 07:43

Friday was $481k {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Nov 12, 08:02

It's cheaper than a movie ticket (each rent is two people on average) {nm} Moviesnob Nov 12, 08:03

Not with so many subscription plans for major theater chains, Tuesday discounts, etc. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Nov 12, 08:17

You are massively over estimating how many people are on subs and how often they go Moviesnob Nov 12, 08:27

I don't think I am. People with subscriptions go to more movies than those who just go see things like Black Panther. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Nov 12, 08:47

Not true. less than half use it enough to justify its cost and that was pre-pandemic. its likely worse now since theres not enough product Moviesnob Nov 12, 08:53

"There are some folks who dont know its on VOD or dont care and prefer the theater" Probably more the former, I'd guess. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Nov 12, 10:11
