It's a combination of things.
Streaming, pirating, shorter wait for availability, bigger and nicer tvs at home, things are too expensive, no fresh ideas for movies, we've seen it all already. I don't find anything worth paying for. I go to theater once a year if even. Food is essential but restaurants are suffering too. I'd rather get take-out instead of dine-in when I don't cook at home.
