The Monsterverse movies feel like they're always passing the baton when it comes to the stars they bring in.

Kong: Skull Island is an exception since it takes place at the end of the Vietnam War.


Godzilla had Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins. Godzilla: King of the Monsters brought them back while introducing Kyle Chandler and Millie Bobby Brown. Godzilla vs. Kong brought back Chandler and Brown (obviously because the others were killed) while introducing Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry. Godzilla x Kong brought back Hall and Henry without bringing back Chandler and Brown while introducing Dan Stevens. And now we have Stevens returning but as of this moment no other returning stars while introducing Kaitlyn Dever.
