Ah, I think I've figured out what is going on (spoilers for the comics)
The whole storyline with Brand New Day involves Spider-Man making a deal with Mephisto to protect his loved ones, which he does by removing Mary Jane Watson from the picture, so maybe Sadie Sink is ideed playing a new version of Mary Jane, because if you remember the ending of No Way Home, MJ has forgotten about Peter. Now, another thing is that Aunt May plays a pretty big role in Brand New Day, as that's where she started working at the homeless shelter... which is where she first encounters Martin Li aka Mr. Negative. So we'll probably have some casting for Mr. Negative AND if they go with the comic storyline, someone playing Mephisto... and I wouldn't be surprised if Marisa Tomei is brought back.. and I still think Destin will find a reason to bring Shang-Chi into the mix, because the last three Spider-Man movies had had connections/characters from the overal MCU ala Iron Man, Doctor Strange...
