Presumably her involvement would be that she would be present in the "spirit tree network" as some kind of guide and if she asks for too much money to return, the dialogue would just be given to another character that "died" in the first one.

Conversely it's possible characters that died/"uploaded" could be "downloaded" into new creatures/bodies in the sequels
