The first two movies in the series should have been so much better. The first one had some really good elements (e.g., the action sequence
with the scorpion-like creature attacking the army in the desert) but was just so hurt by the puerile humor, e.g., one of the Autobots urinating on Torturo.
The second movie was bizzare. From the strange inappropriate humor of the dog and the cat at the beginning and the robot and Megan Fox toward the middle...to Torturo's getting undressed...it was just bizzare. To this day, I don't understand how ROTF made so much money.
That said, there is so much to work with there...all Bay needs to do is get rid of that weird humor and tongue in cheek dialogue...and it could be a good series.
