The Tampa Bay Rowdies who currently play at Al Lang Field in St. Pete were trying to move up to MLS with that spot but did not get it.

THe Rowdies name goes back to to NASL in the days of Pele in the US.   Playing in the USL they were trying to take an existing club and move up.
