I just read one opinion/analysis piece advancing the theory that this year's election results guarentee Trump's re-election in 2020

The theory being that with Congress split in party control and Democratic "fervor" to investigate and twart Trump any and every way they can nothing will get done legislatively. Meanwhile Trump will continue to scream "Witch Hunt" on social media which all the House investigations will play right into. Which will cause Trump's base to rally and grow going into the 2020 election.
