I was thinking something a lot simpler. For instance, let's say on my H$1.25 billion port...
...I made 10 million today. If you go on a rate of income per million in my portfolio, that equates to $8,000/million. If a new H$2 million port made $75,000 today, that would be a rate of $37,500/million. I'm not really sure if the math works since I'm pretty tired, but my larger port size would be theoretically negated and the two of us would be on a theoretical even playing field for purposes of seeing who the better trader is. Instead of using percents to rank, you would do it as best cash rate, straight up. I'm not sure if the free cash giveaways should be included or not.
The equation should be pretty simple: you made x millions today/however many millions y your port is worth. You might even use yesterday's net worth instead of today's in order to avoid the natural increase that would lessen your rate (ie: my $1.25 billion port made $10 million today. It is now worth $1.26 billion. If you use today's $1.26 billion my rate shrinks to $7936/million instead of $8000/million like above). At any rate, those are along the lines that I was thinking.
