here is what my thought process on your feedback..
1.we definitely need to exclude delisting effect of the moviestocks.
2.we need to track the aggregate movement in the moviestock universe i.e. similar to your suggestion of averaging the total change in the moviestocks but with keeping the total "market capitalisation" of the all the moviestocks as the denominatior.
3. also, inclusion of starbonds with a similar process as for moviestocks would only add to the depth of the index.
