Description

Salman Rushdie has adapted his novel Midnight's Children into a film directed by Deepa Mehta. On the day India proclaimed its independence in 1947, two newborn babies are switched at a Bombay hospital. One is the illegitimate son of a poor woman, while the other is the offspring of a wealthy couple. Their lives are fated to be intertwined and linked to India's struggles as a nation.
