The son of two Methodist ministers, Wes Bentley grew up in Arkansas before moving to New York City to attend Juliard. Bentley received his first break in 1998, appearing in the films Three Below Zero and Beloved. The following year, Bentley earned critical acclaim for his role in American Beauty, playing Kevin Spacey's weed-peddling next door neighbor. Bentley's more recent projects include Soul Survivors and Kingdom Come.
