After dueling at the summer box office, Barbie and Oppenheimer battle again for Best Picture against 8 other films with much smaller box office: American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Past Lives, Poor Things, The Holdovers and The Zone of Interest.
Martin Scrosese is nominated for a 10th time in the Best Director category where he’ll compete against second-time nominee Christopher Nolan, Jonathan Glazer, Justine Triet and Yorgos Lanthimos.
Bradley Cooper received his fourth nomination for Best Actor, joined in the category with Cillian Murphy, Colman Domingo, Jeffrey Wright and Paul Giamatti. One will win his first Oscar.
Annette Bening also received her fourth nomination for Best Actress. Emma Stone is the only previous winner in the category that also features Carey Mulligan, Lily Gladstone and Sandra Huller.
Robert De Niro won Best Supporting Actor in 1974 and will contend this year against Mark Ruffalo. Robert Downey Jr., Ryan Gosling and Sterling K. Brown.
Best Supporting Actress features 2-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster competing against first time nominees America Ferrera, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Danielle Brooks and Emily Blunt.
Nominees in Best Adapted Screenplay are American Fiction, Barbie, Oppenheimer, Poor Things and The Zone of Interest.
Contenders in Best Original Screenplay are Anatomy of a Fall, Maestro, May December, Past Lives and The Holdovers.
The Academy Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 10th. AwardOptions for the winners will cash out at H$25, while those failing to win will delist at H$0.
