You're not too far behind me...
And I've had to change how I've played the game in the past... I've unloaded a LOT of developement stocks... I've shorted stocks that aren't out for a LONG time (something I would never do before) and I've increased holdings on stocks that I've been watching, but waiting till they were in the + side before buying more.... it hasn't made a HUGE difference... but I'm seeing less days in the red... where as before I was losing $1-2M a day it seemed like.
I also try to jump on the halts on Saturdays - HSX is usually a bit behind the numbers coming out from various sites on how the openers do, so if I'm quick, I can usualy gain some $$ before the stocks get halted by HSX.
Look to see how you hold stocks in 'development'.. I found that by unloading a lot of them, I slowed down the red in my port... NOT always, but some of the time. I still have days where I lose $1M+ but with a huge port, it's not that unusual... you can't have ALL your stocks go up ALL the time...
I lost a LOT in LTD rank early on, and I wished I would've moved sooner to make some changes.. I don't know what you've changed in your trading, but I've been MUCH more selective in the stocks I'm holding long now... and I try to see if a particular stock continues to drop each day.. and if so, then I may short it. It's hard to do with 100's of stocks, but I may pick my 'favorite' ones and short those if I see them continually drop.
I think you just have to keep trying things to see what works for you..I'm up $2M+ today, which is nice for a change, but my LTD rank is s-l-o-w-l-y moving up if I can keep the "green" coming...
