PRMSPC Prime Suspect USA

Being British I know a little bit about how well regarded the British series is. Its run from 1991 yet only two episodes of 100 minutes every two years. It was one of those shows that was very much brought opened the doors for The Millenium Trilogy to be made.

If the USA show sticks to the format of the UK show then I would recommend shorting this stock. But as there is no episode guide released yet on the official site I cannot confirm.

The UK show is highly regarded, as I said before. The USA version should intice viewers with its intelligent storyline and gritty, almost gruesome crime investigations.

Anybody have any suggestion why the USA show would be a "regular" tv series and not just a couple of long episodes?
