Playing & Trading Strategy

It's not the pointing out of mistakes, it's the Internet Badass/victim mentality you default to that rankles so many.

You play the "I'm the bad guy because I point things out" card a lot, when what people really take issue with is that you point things out in a manner that makes you sound like a pompous dick all the time. Tone-deaf, at best.

You may argue that you're simply stating the bald truth, and facts don't lie so there's no reason to get bent out of shape over it.

Facts may not lie, but words and context have meaning, and phrasing conveys a significant amount of information about the speaker (poster).

So, yes - many people are upset with YOU personally, not your message, because you apparently don't care enough about the audience of your posts to write inclusively, rather than exclusively (for yourself).

Have you never wondered why (more so than any other current poster on HSX) your posts rankle other members? It's not necessarily the content or even the your intent in making the post from an informational standpoint. It's that your phrasing makes you sound like the know-it-all kid on the playground with no social skills whatsoever.

This is in no way meant to be insulting or taking a swipe at you. This is honest, and hopefully constructive feedback. Am hoping for more than a feeble attempt at portaying your target as feminine and weak in response (which would only further every point made in this post).

What kind of post will get you to stop being... well, YOU? {nm} BSmurf Mar 21, 22:55

Too funny. FWR, there seems to be a lot of Getting-Bent-Right-Out-of-Shape when Errors are pointed out. RotoHockeyYTD2013 Mar 22, 02:04
