thank you for your best wishes

Radius does both traditional releases (most recently Citizen Four) and collapsed VOD releases. Basically whatever strategy is best for the film. What I'm saying about it Follows is that they have the ability to use their parent company's resources if the situation demands it. The Interview is never a good example since the circumstance around its releae will never happen again, but it does show the upside studio films have with VOD. You look at a movie like Hot Tub Time Machine 2 or Unfinished Business and those movies would have benefited from some sort of VOD release in the VOD window. Quality aside, consummers want studios to be making movies with those types of budgets, but they mostly dont really work anymore for the studios the way tentpoles do.

I dont think anyone here would discount the importance of social media. Its likely you are misunderstanding. What folks were saying is that you were looking at the predictions based on social media. Nothing wrong with that. But whats more valuable for forecasting is projecting trends based on actual performance. You were posting guesses while others were posting projections.

Can't confirm anything but our movie spring is being asked to move around cause it follows it changing its release pattern Moviesnob Mar 16, 15:40

I think it's safe to assume it's not going to vod on the 27th {nm} Moviesnob Mar 16, 15:42

I'm gonna talk it out with producers tonight but we might blow our wad on the 20th now. That's what the theaters want at least {nm} Moviesnob Mar 16, 16:02

Question for you about Kill Me Three Times & VOD release schedule... aleksthegreat Mar 17, 09:27

higher price points on VOD, better placement on VOD. The distributor is focused on the VOD revenue stream and this maximizes it {nm} Moviesnob Mar 17, 09:31

what happens if Radius sticks to the march 27th VOD release plan? What happens then? They may have VOD deals in place...contracts perhaps? {nm} aleksthegreat Mar 16, 18:56

Not if they move It Follows to a wide release schedule. {nm} Chateau_du_Mal_Voisin Mar 16, 20:26

the answer is in my 2nd post, but I'l be more clear in the inner message. Moviesnob Mar 16, 21:47
