The big blockbuster warrants are my metric for how many more or less active traders there are.
The frozen BW was by far the biggest, easiest money I've seen in 18 months here and if I remember right there were about 3500-4000 people who had that long right before it cashed out. There are 28 million shared of the american sniper BW long, so at least 1400 active players this year (out of 210,000 total accounts).
Not sure if there's a better way to estimate or not. At this point kaigee's top 10k list is your best bet to see how you stack up.
