A general tip - pay no attention to the scrolling bar at the bottom of the page.
The most useful strategy is to buy when you think a stock will increase in price, sell/short when you think it will go down. You might think this is too general to be good advice, but it's very easy to forget the sell/short part.
There are some good beginner's strategies on this website. They date from the early days of HSX, but are still valid.
