There is much that can be said about each of these, in fact pages have been written about certain strategies (shorting, penny stocks, reset trading etc). But if you are just starting out, here are a few concepts to consider... PSA: the list is not exhaustive - there is a lot to "master" in this game, but should get you pointed in the right direction.
TIP#0: Read the FAQ and Glossary!
TIP#1: At this level, EVERYTHING is a short term investment.
TIP #2 - one "word":
DROI (Daily return on investment). Maximize this and you maximize your moolah!
TIP #3 - Big movies have LOW DROI. Don't try to play with the big boys until you are one.
TIP #4 - regardless of how big you get,
DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH A LOSING STOCK! TIP#5 -
Starbonds...Be sure to buy a couple/few weeks out for the bigger returns.
TIP#6 - dabble with the OW adjust if you want – some good potential short term gains
TIP#7 - Watch out for the 1%
commission. It hits you on both ends. Therefore, every sell/buy or flip is 2% more. Be sure that whatever trade you are doing is worth the 2%.
TIP#8 - you haven't made a penny until you exceed 2% growth on your investment. Then, you only break even.
Tip#9 – Derivatives (specifically MovieFunds and BW) generally provide slow and consistent gains.
Tip#10 -
Free money is good. Play the "Earn H$" Games. Chance at up to 70K per day = 490K per week = 1.9 Mil per month = 25 480 000 per year of FREE money. Now, you won't win all the time, but it's still free money...free money is GOOD.Everything in your port is for sale at some point.
Tip #11 – take a look at what the experienced players are doing in the Movie Funds.

Penny stocks make big gains when they hit and take little overall (but are a long term) investment. I recommend starting with everything under 10cents. (note, commission is calculated differently for everything under 0.20)

Tip#15: Remember it's a game and fake $. Try not to lose your Sh!t in the forums.
