I find it interesting they want to go wide against Rogue One
If you assume Rogue One does just half the box office of Star7, not sure there's any air for a good opening weekend for LALAL - nothing else got above $15M for the weekend vs Star7 in 2015.
I don't doubt (if it's as good as the award win makes it seem) that this will have killer legs, since it's opening right before the Christmas leg season...but we do play the openers here and the date choice is an interesting one...not sure it's the right one, especially with the dearth of movies the 2 weekends prior (aka its planned limited opening date) when it could have a chance to open big...
