Some traders like the adrenaline rush of being on the right side of a halted stock...
..and I understand that, but having a halt really doesn't make sense. Electronic exchanges have made it possible to trade NYSE stocks pretty much 24/7 and traders had to adjust.
If eliminating the Saturday halt means less excitement for traders with a good opinion (and it doesn't, really, if you buy/sell the stock at halt time, you'd end up with the same result without a halt, only gradually instead of one fell swoop), I'd suggest adding in several halt times of OW warrants/puts/calls. Maybe have one - call it OW2 - that halts two weeks before the opening weekend, another OW1 one week before, and the usual one halting 10am Friday. (Yes, I acknowledge this might be confusing for beginners.) And/or raise the position limit to 100,000 on the OW puts and calls.
