Official Box Office Calls (Jan.).. Happy New Year HSXers...
Great to be with you. Now that release schedules have settled (for most part), let's get to my box office calls...
Winter Frame (Dec 1- Feb. 18) calls...
1. SpiderMan: No Way Home
2. Uncharted -- (new)
3. Sing 2
4. Scream -- (new)
5. Jackass Forever -- (new)
"Matrix 4", "The Kings Men", and such drop off as the new crop of films will beat them in box office.. "Death On the Nile," could sneak into the top 5, but the film being dumped without any real last minute marketing push is a concern.
"Uncharted" will suprise, in a good way and takes over the full momentum "Morbius" would have had before moving (I personally feel the April opening date is a godsend for "Morbius," it will do much better numbers now). "Uncharted" also gets two full weeks to make bank before "The Batman" opens in March.
"Belfast" is also still my Best Picture favorite. I also wait on pins and needels over whether "Dune" gets a re-release off Oscar nominations (I definitely see the Oscar nominations for it happening).
