With The Godfather Trilogy 4K out today for its 50th anniversary, it made me wonder who they would cast if remade today - some options

I just tried to quick find bigger name actors that would be the same age as the originals:

Character - OG Actor - Age at filming
Vito Corleone - Marlon Brando - 48/49
Ben Affleck/Adrien Brody/ Idris Elba/ Jude Law

Michael - Al Pacino - 30/31
Sonny - James Caan - 30/31
Austin Butler/ Liam Hemsworth/ Dylan O'Brien/ Aaron Taylor Johnson/ Dev Patel/ O Shea Jackson Jr

Tom Hagen - Robert Duvall - 40
Chris Evans/ Tom Hiddleston/ Eddie Redmayne/ Brian Tyree Henry

Kay - Diane Keaton - 25
Connie - Talia Shire - 25
Chloe Moretz/ Hailee Steinfeld/ Anya Taylor Joy/ Zendaya

Fredo - John Cazale - 36
Dane DeHaan/ Dave Franco/ Robert Pattinson/ Yahya Abdul Mateen II

Tessio - Abe Vigoda - 50
Rob Corddry/ Johnny Knoxville/ Jason Mantzoukas/ Keegan Michael Key

Theres probably a pretty decent cast in there. But hard to top the originals.

Oh, come on... you just know that Josh Gad would play Vito Corleone. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Mar 22, 07:06
