Regal, AMC and Cinemark are all showing ORPHAN FIRST KILL. this weekend and no longer just dumpy locations (keep expectations low of course) {nm} notfabio Aug 18, 12:47

I think AMC is even offering a two for one deal on it... but it makes you wonder, why didn't Paramount just release the movie for reals? {nm} The Weekend Warrior Aug 18, 12:50

It's a weird choice but probably saves them $10 million P&A, even a 45 day window still would get them on PVOD/etc in time for Halloween. {nm} notfabio Aug 18, 13:01

I thought it was on PVOD *and* Paramount+ tomorrow... let me check {nm} The Weekend Warrior Aug 18, 13:05

This is what I got from July: "ORPHAN: FIRST KILL in Theaters, on Digital and streaming on Paramount+ August 19, 2022." {nm} The Weekend Warrior Aug 18, 13:06

Yeah, this is the case as of Monday, as well. this theatrical release just seems like contract fulfillment {nm} The Weekend Warrior Aug 18, 13:07
