It will take a hit, but I think even a trio recast would do way better than a Fantastic Beasts 4 would. Which may be what happens.
In the past Radcliffe, Watson and Grint negotiated together (ala the Friends cast), so it's possible if Radcliffe hardlines they all will. The catch being that no Potter project will happen if JK says no. The stage play has been wildly successful and that has had wildly different casts.
If Watson & Grint say yes, then they could alternatively make a Fantastic Beasts/with them combo project or a Streaming project.
DRADC may not want to play Harry Potter if JK is involved. Would fans accept a recast? Nov 03, 16:29
They've accepted multiple recasts before, would only get problematic if Emma Watson and Rupert Grint also refuse. {nm} Nov 03, 16:39
