Would imagine among other reasons, Emmys will close the remaining loopholes fast on theatrical showings if that became widespread.
Emmys allows theatrical screenings of episodes before screening on TV only if the amount of theatres is limited (about 100-200ish) which is why Yellowstone was only National Amusements/Showcase/AMC and the Amazon Rings of Power was a few Cinemark locations.
Also, theatre chains typically want SOME kind of theatrical window historically (the Yellowstone event was about two weeks before) and generally aren't interested in running TV episodes that have already been broadcast (the Game of Thrones IMAX event was well after it had aired and didn't do very well)
