Too bad Dwayne Johnson didn't just agree to Shazam vs Black Adam for Shazam 2 and then Shazam vs Superman would have worked ok (BUT.......)
From what has been beaten around the bush, Dwayne Johnson had massive creative disagreements on Shazam and would likely had stifled James Gunn's DCU plans so it would have been a continuing battle trying to make him happy.
Of course remains to be seen if James Gunn's DCU plans are any better than where they were at.
