Friday number you want to see if you're long or short on [DESME]:
Mid-Summer animated opener IMs from the last few years (RATUL 2.86, MONHS 3.02, WALLE 2.72, BYARD 2.89, ANTBU 3.22). My initial thoughts on DESME were more towards the higher end kids movies because it shouldn't have any build in fan base like the Pixar movies. However, reports of solid midnight business have me rethinking that assumption. Kids do not go to midnight showings (for the most part), so DESME is obviosly appealing to some other demographic as well. I don't know what other demographic it is, but it should keep DESME from the top of the range. Using 2.7 to 2.9:
10.75M or less: Certain short, likely 20 or more points.
10.75M - 12.75M: Near certain short, likely 5-20 points.
12.75M - 15M: Indeterminate. Could be a long or short, probably not more than 5 points either way.
15M - 17M: Near certain long, likely 5-20 points.
17M or more: Certain long, likely 20 or more points.
