You’re invited to BEING HEUMANN, based on the real life of legendary activist Judy Heumann, who fought for the rights of all disabled Americans. Set in the turbulent late 1970s, the story takes you along Judy’s relentless and often comedic journey to band together with a group of misfit rebels to rise up against the powers that want to exclude them from accessing the world.
The film is from Siân Heder, director of Academy Award Best Picture winning film CODA, and features Mark Ruffalo (Avengers franchise and Spotlight), Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner franchise), Rob Delaney (TV’s Dying for Sex and Catastrophe), and Ruth Madeley (TV’s Doctor Who) as Heumann.
