This is simply more nonsense. It seemingly never ends over there at Netflix. The levels of stupidity are exhausting at the end of the day.

Say: I've got a great idea!

I just lost my job at a big Hollywood studio that releases its films to movie theaters.

I know what I'll do; I'll go get a job at a place that doesn't release movies into theaters at all, and I'll tell them I'll only come if they change their entire business strategy for me.

I guess this is somehow appropriate, being made public the same weekend that this Fielder movie is coming out.

Sarandos publicly admitted that US revenue is flat. opening up theatrical is just another (non-risk free) to bring in more revenue jimothy Oct 16, 10:37

Netflix finally realized that theatrical is the way to cultural zeitgeist. Their generic, algorithmic films just disappear into the void. {nm} Antibody Oct 16, 10:44

I feel the same way--a Netflix original looks like a phony trailer before TROPIC THUNDER to me Rishoutfield Oct 16, 14:03

They don't have that many movies that are WORTH a theatrical exhibition anyway. {nm} Goodvibe61 Oct 16, 15:44

They want to change that. {nm} Jay_Bling Oct 17, 05:18

There are lots of great films you just have to dig for them {nm} Moviesnob Oct 17, 06:41

Every week, there's a new movie on Netflix that I never heard about in advance... and I write about movies! The Weekend Warrior Oct 17, 06:24
