Comic-Con rumor
I've been doing some research, and I've found several sources from the Comic-Con panel that say it will be released Nov. 1, 2009 in theaters.
Additionally, on the Sony Pictures website, the movie is listed under the "Movies Coming Soon" section and not the "Home Entertainment Coming Soon" section.
So I'm not convinced that it'll be STV in format.
Guess only time will tell.

Not quite true. Boondock Saints opened in five theatres in January 2000 and grossed just south of 20k opening weekend Jul 31, 11:22
