Point 3: Where was the outrage from the right
Ebert poses questions about why the Right is not up in arms at the apparent reversal by Romney.
I said many months ago, to friends, that this election cycle has less to do with the Republican candidate and more to do with Obama and his plans for the next four years. I mean . . . have any of y'all send his plans agains suburbs in a drive to reviatlize urban areas? Probably not I suppose...scares the jeebus out of me.
Anyway, what the Right wanted was for Romney to challenge Obama in a forthright manner. The fact that he is more moderate than the base is not news to most Republicans. I want Romney to come forth with some ideas that can be marketed. But look at what happened to Cain and his 999 plan (before his past caught up with him) or Gingrich's 100 days plan. They were crucified over them....and yet the media gives Obama a pass.
There is also truth in stating that the President does not write the laws....and that he must depend on his ability to work with Congress.
