I agree completely...
I am new to HSX and do not wish to offend anyone, or to degrade my reputation any further than is necessary. I recognize that we are approaching an election that has the potential to fundamentally change the course of this nation . . . and I do not believe there is anything fundamentally wrong with it. Another pet peeve of the 2008 campaign. Why did people support that slogan...fundamental change you can believe in. Do people not understand the definition of the word fundamental?
Anyway, I'm not new to the internet. Google will prove this out. I'm not new to issuing my opinions, and in most cases finding that those who demand that I offer "evidence" do not read or appreciate the effort. If I knew you better, I would have put more time and offered more links. I regret that.
As we learned from Michael Douglas in The American President:
America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You gotta want it bad, 'cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours. You want to claim this land as the land of the free? Then the symbol of your country can't just be a flag; the symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms. Then, you can stand up and sing about the "land of the free".
