They did not follow the 10 little indians approach at all.

Basically, all the minor (Deaf Taylor Swift, random frat brothers, etc.) or "guest stars" (Ariana Grande & NIck Jones characters, etc.) characters were killed, and all the regulars lived (except Gigi).
