I also have no problem with them seeking more. I watch every minute. To infer that they're paid less because they're women is dead wrong.
They're paid less because their product makes less. If the US men advanced as far as the women, their revenues would be through the roof higher than the women's and yes, they would have been paid significantly more - not because women are paid less than men, but because women's soccer generates far less income than men.
It's like comparing an NBA D-league player's salary to Lebron James. Even if their team wins the championship, even though they play the same sport, they won't make near as much because they don't generate near as much.
