Hmm.. there seems to be multiple uses for current value. In the case of your picture - that is the current price. Price movement is affected

by trades as they happen not how many shares are being held. When traders buy shares short the price goes down, when they buy shares long the price goes up. Except for IPOs and star bond adjusts. IPO price does not change until the number of shares listed is bought long or reset (12am pacific time). Star bond adjusts are halted at 3pm pacific time on the day the movie stock delists, unfrozen (can be trades) after adjust the next day but prices do not change until reset.

Annoucement of a Star bond being added or removed from a movies can prompt traders to trade a stock but the act of adding a star does not affect the price. And while certain star being in a movie may affect whether players own a trade a stock that does not contribute to the movie price itself (although it may be a factor in HSX setting the intial price)

many traders buy the stock on ipo day(and hold them) and those shares don't make the price rise (unless after all ipo shares sold) {nm} JDolphin Jan 26, 14:39
