Each transaction does not change the price the same. The formulas that determine how much the price is changed by each transaction take into account not just the current price and how many shares are being traded but also how many trades have been made on that stock recently and a small degree of randomness. There may be other factors but its secret sauce, so the details are a closely held secret.

And that's before we get into what was the price at the IPO. One may have started at a much higher price than the other and any shares traded on the day of the IPO do NOT change the price.

Also the number of shares currently held says nothing about how many transactions may have occured to get there. People will "flip" stocks frequently ("flip" meaning changing the position, i.e. selling all their longs and then shorting or vice versa). All the number of shares held indicates is the number of shares held. It is no indicator of past or future price changes.
