Sucks about the tagging issue, I didn't know it would cause the post to show up elsewhere. I looked for an edit button but don't see one? Either way it's fine if it's deleted since I have gotten a few answers already.

So just to summarize, buying/covering stock makes the price rise and selling/shorting makes it drop.

Only thing left that I don't get is that if buying stock causes the price to rise then how come a movie with more long shares can be worth less? Hasn't that movie had more transactions to get to that many total shares in the first place? So shouldn't the transactions have raised the price more than it did such as in my previous comparison?
