For myself, whenever I read a post on the boards that I think is snarky, I try to read it again in a neutral tone and generally I find that
the poster is making a valid point, and not trying to say stuff just to be snarky. This can change the interpretation quite a bit.
Guillo's post and your reply is a good example of this - he's saying that it's a shame that posters are emailing you to tell you they don't want to post on the boards (true), and they would probably get a better outcome if they emailed HSX instead of you (also true), but that he's not surprised that they email you since you post a lot of advice on the boards and on your site (also true). You interpreted his post as being rude, which wasn't his intention.
His rant in the next post is another matter, of course, and it reflects badly on him - but without your post mis-reading his, his rant wouldn't have happened.
Just remember, it's not always snark.
