Katherine Heigl is best known for her role in the TV series Roswell and Grey's Anatomy. Born and raised in Connecticut, Heigl has two older brothers and an older sister. She got her start as a Sears catalog model, and moved on to commercial work that led to film roles. By 1994, she landed her fist major role in My Father the Hero as well as in 1995's Under Siege 2: Dark Territory. In 1998, she starred in her "obligatory" horror movie with roles in The Bride of Chucky and Valentine.
