A film that is set against the Los Angeles music scene, Sugar Town stars Jade Gordon as Gwen, an aspiring rock star who is bent upon achieving success. Willing to go to great lengths to further her career, Gwen seduces a music producer, who also happens to be the boyfriend of her boss. As several characters in the film each promote their own agendas, the stereotypical pitfalls of the music biz eventually surface. Sugar Town also stars Ally Sheedy, Rosanna Arquette, Beverly D'Angelo and Duran Duran's John Taylor. The film is co-written and directed by Allison Anders and Kurt Voss.
