It's like with the global economy, the climate etc - we don't really know, but hope for the best, and carry on as usual.
Sitting down worrying and speculating, pondering worst case scenarios etc, will not help. Crossing ones fingers, trading as usual, inviting friends to the game + clicking on all the banners/advertisement, might help a lot.
This is not a definitive answer, perhaps, but it's my take on it. There has been no word of shutting down the site/game being considered. That's what we have for now. The site is not unmanned. It it being run expertly still, and the game is kept running. The rest is up to us. We may have influence on its future, by performing along the lines of what I suggested above.
(You may also read the backboards from all of yesterday - movies board. And the feedback & support board from July 1st. The only official info we have about the game and the site, is that it will be run further, indefinitely. There have been massive lay-offs, but that's first and foremost related to the preparations for actual futures trading - which was shelved at the turn of the month/fiscal quarter, due to political developments on the issue, in D.C./Congress.)
