I'm the one who's trolled! chosenone2oo5 here--seems they'd rather pick someone w/ a college piece of paper than someone who knows "Saw."
I wrote a real script, but because the world is a straight-up cruel place, I'll never earn anything off the year or two I spent taking that script very seriously.
And the way I see it, you'll watch them, think "this is what I like!" and write that instead, without considering the whole or the fanbase. In other words--you'll write it for the paycheck, which I consider creatively abhorrent.
So, I'm really the one getting trolled here. Between us, I am the "Saw" fan, I'm the Millenial, I'm rank 400 on HSX (where are you, Stolberg? Much lower, with half the port value), and I know my script is better (even TITLED better!). But just because I don't have one of those upper-middle-class pieces of paper from some crappy collegiate board of naysayers, my script won't be the one picked. That's messed up as hell. So yeah, hack away.
Watched Cabin in the Woods with my kid today and LOVED it. :-) And just saw I got trolled by chosenone2oo5. :-( Jul 31, 22:04
