I understand the comparisons of Empire and Attack of the Clones to The Last Jedi but I disagree that TLJ will be shown in hindsight to be considered good. The blowback has been quick and building.. Luke was the most beloved character in all of SW and Johnson ruined him.. Disney is playing on nostagia. Yet they are destroyed the legacy of Han, Luke, Leia, made C3PO, R2 redundance and Chew have zero depth... They miscalculated. In the SW forums the fanbase is fairly evenly split.
Riun Johnson , Kathleen Kennedy Daisy, Serkis, are in damage control, constantly trying to explain the flaws. Things that should have been in the movie, inconsistances. Disney trying to role out Favreau, GoT writters to bolster SW. Riun Johnshon, Disney dismisses dissent as a minority but vocal... But Transformers, DCEU crashed horribly and suddenly... if this is the downward trend as I predict then I'll be vindicated. Disney can't play on nostagia and crap all over it wanting a new fanbase. Kennedy might be good producer handling money but her vision for SW is shortsighted and has damaged the brand irreversibly.
