dumbed the movie down and annoyed the audience thinking that they were stupid to figure out or know the stories. The Disney StarWars is rolling out poorly. I think Lucas originally wanted to re-release the OT as 3D to reintroduce them to the world. Disney's has banked on nostaglia at the same time destroying it and saying they want to replace the loyal fans with other fans.
I never said the OT was a work of art. Lucas acknowledges it was a children's tale of good vs evil.. But it's infinitely better written than TFA or TLJ... which is saying a lot since the dialog of the prequels isn't great.
The Chinese have a word "baizou" which is a derogatory term for the "white left" and the naive values the leftist, communist espouse. The Chnese lived through decades of scarity, starvation and stagnation of communism so aren't too keen on the anticapitalism of the Canto casino arc. China is on the rise and sees leftist values as decadent.
