HSX Members, Please Read for New Update (#2)...
I wanted to share that I'm still in contact with Cantor. I'm in the process of forming an "unofficial" board and we'll be working to coordinate a call with Cantor (hopefully) sometime late next week.
I have a few trusted members that I feel are a great representation for our community. Combined they've all been here an average of over 20+ years and are accomplished in their fields. Won't reveal them now, but will at some point.
The call with Cantor is to inquire how we keep this going. I won't go into those details at this time, but I can say that they (Cantor) have stated they will see about finding resources to again make updates to the website until something can be reached. There wasn't a promise there, but they told me that personally (without my asking to do so) because they're happy with the forward momentum. They've been really receptive to these talks.
I have also inquired with a few of you that have shown interest in providing resources that I feel would be a good fit for what we may need going forward. Please take no offense if I have not contacted you about anything yet, because I'm literally talking with dozens of you the past few days. If you personally feel that you would be an asset to the "unofficial" board (and you want to donate free time/specialty resources), I ask that you email me at lobogotti @ me.com and let me know how you could volunteer your time and efforts.
Thank you to everyone that has filled out the survey and put some credentials in there as well. I certainly may try tapping some of you on resources at some point, when we know what kind of direction we're moving in.
There have been 167 responses to the survey and that's great, but in 72 hours it just doesn't seem like enough traffic based on feedback I'm getting. There are more of us out there. If there is any chance of keeping this website, the more of us there are that are willing to donate time/money or at least answer the survey, the better off we're going to be.
