also, while a strike would impact most US productions, my understanding is a not -insubstantial number of shows still aren't covered
not just the canadian productions but even some domestic stuff that exists under weird union rules may be exempt. so not quite like the WGA saying "pencils down" and everything shuts down until they reach a deal
but certainly crippling enough!
