DESCRIPTION

Opening Weekend Warrant

The price of an Opening Weekend Warrant is based on the weekend box office of the related MovieStock. Opening weekend is the first Friday to Sunday of wide release, unless otherwise defined. The warrant will halt trading at 10 am Pacific on wide release date and cash out according to the actual box office.

Opening weekend stocks (OW, call, puts) count Fri to Sun.

The only exception(s) are when a holiday falls on a Monday then it is spelled out in the stock title (XYZ.OW Fri-Mon)

These Derivatives will halt trading at 10 am Pacific:

    - The Bob's Burgers Movie H$10 Call Fri-Mon (BOBSB.CA)
    - The Bob's Burgers Movie - Opening Weekend Fri-Mon (BOBSB.OW)
    - The Bob's Burgers Movie H$10 Put Fri-Mon (BOBSB.PU)
    - Top Gun: Maverick H$90 Call Fri-Mon (TOPG2.CA)
    - Top Gun: Maverick - Opening Weekend Fri-Mon (TOPG2.OW)
    - Top Gun: Maverick H$90 Put Fri-Mon (TOPG2.PU)

or Thanksgiving then it is spelled out in the stock title (XYZ.OW Wed-Sun).

These Derivatives will halt trading at 10 am Pacific:

    - Devotion H$15 Call Wed-Sun (DEVOT.CA)
    - Devotion - Opening Weekend Wed-Sun (DEVOT.OW)
    - Devotion H$15 Put Wed-Sun (DEVOT.PU)
    - Strange World H$50 Call Wed-Sun (STRNW.CA)
    - Strange World - Opening Weekend Wed-Sun (STRNW.OW)
    - Strange World H$50 Put Wed-Sun (STRNW.PU)

Some movies open midweek (usually on Weds) but the opening weekend stocks only count the Fri-Sun box office.

These MovieStocks are opening in wide release today:

- Puss In Boots: The Last Wish (PUSS2)

These Derivatives will halt trading at 10 am Pacific:

    - Puss In Boots: The Last Wish H$30 Call (PUSS2.CA)
    - Puss In Boots: The Last Wish - Opening Weekend (PUSS2.OW)
    - Puss In Boots: The Last Wish H$30 Put (PUSS2.PU)

The opening weekend stocks for PUSS2 will only count the box office reported for Fri-Sun as stated on the stockpages (since it has not been specified differently).

Example... if the movie makes 3mill Weds, 3mill Thurs, 10mill Fri, 10mill Sat, 10mill Sun, then the OW stock will cash out at 30mill (Fri-Sun).

Yes, but typically films aren't releasing wide on Wednesdays like Puss in Boots is. Most films take Thu Prevs through Sunday as their wknd # {nm} JayPrimetown Dec 20, 15:30
